About: Lorraine learned to sew at a young age from her mother, who was an incredible seamstress. Having sewn garments and general home projects most of her life, she discovered quilting in 2007. Since then it has been a path of discovery, inspiration and creativity!
Lorraine works in a variety of sewing related areas: quilting, machine embroidery, sergers, mixed media and art quilting. Experimenting and trying new techniques expands her knowledge of the world of sewing. Lorraine also works with quilting rulers on both domestic and long arm machines.
Traveling the country working at shows and teaching is something Lorraine enjoys. She believes there is always something new to learn and experience, and “it is delightful to see someone discover a new way to do something.” Currently she teaches classes in quilting with Westalee Rulers, free motion quilting, machine embroidery for OESD, and various sewing projects.
A member of the Modern Quilt Guild and Studio Art Quilt Associates, Lorraine resides in Bend, Oregon. She and her husband own a long arm quilting business. When not sewing she enjoys hiking, camping, kayaking and snow shoeing.
