Westalee Design Accredited Teacher
About The Instructor
I am Anita Ellis, an accomplished Quilting Educator who inspires and mentors’ students around Australia in the art of quilting, both on domestic sewing machines, long arm machines, and everything in between. Teaching became my passion when I realized the pleasure it gave me to pass on my skills to new quilters. I am a long-standing contributor at the Australian Machine Quilting Festival where I continue to develop and deliver workshops and classes to many professional long arm and domestic machine quilters.
I am now a full-time quilting educator and Westalee Design Accredited Tutor working across the industry with major manufacturers, quilting shops, guilds, professional long arm quilters and individuals, delivering bespoke training packages. New quilters often lack guidance on how to start. I can build up your confidence by bringing together free-motion quilting, quilting with rulers and design techniques using my own tried and tested methods to provide the first building blocks.
“It’s great to bring a student onto show quilt status, but the real pleasure for me comes from seeing a dispersed regional quilting community come together to build their skills in a sharing and caring environment. Quilting can be a solitary hobby, but the energy and enthusiasm generated when such a group comes together is magical. “
Why not book a domestic machine class today so that you too can improve your quilting skills. You can also book a one on one session on my A1 long arm quilting machine. Great for if you are a beginner or more advanced quilter looking for inspiration.
