About The Instructor
Eva K. Weber has been a member of SAGA (Smocking Arts Guild of America) since 1986 and teaching for them since 1992. She lives in East Hampton Connecticut, has two daughters both grown and married and 2 sweet, sweet granddaughters. Eva has studied and taught extensively at SAGA functions since 1987, and won several awards in the Design shows. Eva has completed the Apprentice levels in both Smocking and Fine Machine Sewing in the Artisan program. She is a member of the Heart of the Valley Quilt Guild.
Eva is the owner of Tiffany Hill Smocking, her specialties are smocking, heirloom sewing, silk ribbon embroidery, Hardanger, beading, Brazilian embroidery, quilting and crocheting, and quilting. She received a second place award on a quilt at the Ct Piecemakers annual quilt show in 2010. She teaches mostly for local quilting shops and adult education programs.
She began Ruler Quilting in 2017, and it has become an obsessive addiction which she now shares with her students. She currently teaches at several local quilt shops but hoping to expand her horizons after obtaining her Promoted Instructor status with Sew Steady.
She is a registered nurse in a level 2 NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) in Manchester, Ct. Her non-sewing ventures include pickleball, motorcycles, gardening, snowshoeing and is an active member of the Chatham Historical Society.
She married her high school sweetheart in May of 2012 and they reside in an historic octagonal house, circa 1855, listed on the National Register of Historic Homes.
