Hello! My name is Lien, and I live in the Netherlands and have been sewing since I was a little girl.
Started with a little tiny sewing machine with only one tread. Making clothes for my Barbie’s! Later on I started collecting fabric from everybody I knew, just to be able to sew. My dear father gave me my first real sewing machine and that was when I made my first quilt of old shirts and other fabrics. This continued through the years, sewing for my children and when the children had gown older I had a little more time and I picked up quilting again. That is about 15 years ago when my children started their own lives and moved out. I filled my empty nest with fabric! I do a lot of quilting for charity but once I got to know Westalee Rulers I wanted to know more about it. I just couldn’t stop. I like the precision of the rulers and the way Sew Steady teaches their students. I teach in our local quilting store and my students are always surprised how quick and easy it is to get a wonderful result. I like teaching and be together with other people to share our love for ruler work.
