Class Description: This rulerwork class is based on grid designs from classical Sashiko elements. After a brief introduction to rulerwork, we move right in to creating these classic
fills. These beautiful quilting patterns can all be created using the Westalee Multi Mini Arc template. Students will create their own sampler inspiration to help them remember the designs after class is over. Other topics include using grid stencils and pounce pads, choosing the best threads, and making the designs fit into areas of a quilt.

When: July 30th, 2021 @ 2pm PT

Tools Required:

Other tools and notions:

  • 90/14 Topstitch or Quilting needle
  • Thread snip
  • Quilt safe marking tools
  • Rotary ruler for measuring and marking on the quilt sandwich (8″ x 14″ or similar)

Fabrics and Thread:

  • 2 Fat Quarter Quilt Sandwiches (A good quality batting and fabric is recommended for best results)
  • Polyester 40wt or 50wt 3 ply thread in a low contrast to the fabric but not matching as we want people to see what they are doing
