This design originated as an alternative centrepiece for my Jewel Quilt. Although simple to stitch, using only the 12″ Arc, I always found it striking, therefore it was pinned to my studio wall to remind me to do something with it. After some design development – here it is!
When new to ruler work, large projects can often feel intimidating. Small projects are perfect practice pieces, help build your confidence and improve your technique.
I hope my pattern will also inspire you to play with design – don’t be afraid to go off-piste and add your own modifications when the inspiration strikes!
These instructions cover how to stitch the design within a 16″ square which can be used in any way you wish, for a bag, a cushion, wall hanging or quilt – the choice is yours.
You will need: A fabric sandwich approx 19″ x 19″ (FQ).
Westalee Templates required: 12″ Arc.
