Description
When quilting on domestic, Longarm, or with embroidery this marking tool is essential. Reference lines give a much better result. When using rotating templates, reference lines will give much more accurate spacing. On a domestic machine the quilt is not taught as on a longarm machine and there is movement of the quilt sandwich which can make it difficult to use the rotating lines on the templates. We like using our Cross Hair Ruler to locate the center and mark 4, 8, 16 and 32 lines if required.
The Westalee Design 5 Point CROSSHAIR RULER is for marking 5 (72°) or 10 (36°) or 20 (18°) reference lines. The 12.5″ size allows you to mark up to 12″ blocks. AND The 8.5″ size allows you to mark up to 8″ blocks. 5pt ideal for making stars.
The Westalee Design 6 Point CROSSHAIR RULER is for marking 3 (120°) or 6 (60°) or 12 (30°) or 24 (15°) reference lines, great for Hexagon Quilt patterns. The 12.5″ size allows you to mark up to 12″ blocks. AND The 8.5″ size allows you to mark up to 8″ blocks.

These mini rulers are wonderful to take with you everywhere! If I’m waiting, I take out my Surface pad and Pen, then I set the mini cross hairs on my tablet, then just doodle away. I have found wonderful doodles can grow up to become full size blocks.
