The Westalee Design Spin-e-Fex line are the first quilting templates available to create segmented circular motifs, through a stitch-then-advance process. Spin-e-Fex create their unique shapes by stitching around the perimeter of a simple template shape, advancing the template location, then stitch and repeat. This template has become one of my very favorites when quilting blocks that need a definition. The 7.5 size is perfect for 6″ blocks to highlight the corners. I have used the single motif in a chain pttern for borders.
challenging to use wellThis makes a lovely pattern but it is hard to keep the ruler still and work my way around the inside. Will take lots of practice. Also having trouble with using the pin and haven’t found much online to show me how. Evidently you have to move your needle along with the template at the same time which I would guess is easier to do on a long arm rather than a domestic machine. I’ll keep practicing.
